I've encountered some of Natasha's recipes on her website and always thought they were well written. This is a delightful review of her cookbook, Hoang! It's interesting that she's from Ukraine but learned to cook here and chooses to cook American dishes. Probably that's not so unusual.
I'm not sure I'll spring for the book, but those ricotta waffles do sound particularly good. I noticed that Natasha has a recipe for ricotta pancakes on her website, so perhaps they're similar.
Thanks Ruth! Yes, they are very similar! I’ve made both and I liked both but I’d choose the waffles version if I could. I would eat it pretty much all the time. It’s that good 👍
Anyways, my hope for reviewing cookbooks is not so much to get people to buy, but rather to help them decide one way or the other. Like I said, not every book is right for the everyone but I do think people should know what it offers!
